The HOA General Session Minutes will be posted for every board meeting (minutes are password protected), so please fill out your profile information to obtain your password.
 
The newsletter will be published on our site as well as special notices regarding unscheduled meetings. Other items of interest to homeowners will be added periodically.

Please let us know what you think about our website.  Any suggestions you may have for making it more relevant to your needs would be appreciated.  As with most web sites, this is a work in progress and will be updated and changed quite often in order to reflect the desires of the community.

KPOA SECURITY
 
Dear Knollwood Homeowners,

Understandably, there has been some confusion regarding an email blast distributed by Board Director-at-Large, Steve Carlson. We wish to be clear that this was not an approved communication, nor a legitimate survey from the Knollwood Property Owners Association.

The communication does not reflect the views, values and/or opinions of the KPOA Board.

To clarify, after years of service to Knollwood, Atlas Security made the decision to terminate their services in the KPOA with a 30-day notice, effective August 15, 2021.

In order to provide a seamless transition, the Board very methodically performed their due diligence by receiving five (5) security proposals and narrowing down the prospective companies. The final two (2) contenders were interviewed during the open session of the Board meeting on July 28, 2021. The invitation went to all homeowners to attend via notices in the community and online at the ourknollwood.com website.

On that night, the Board voted by majority, to approve the proposal from Post Security. The process was undertaken with full transparency and a decision was made democratically.

This new team consists of 43 officers, and are mostly officers with law enforcement and/or military backgrounds. They are able to make arrests and will work closely with the Devonshire Police force. Their vehicles have state-of-the-art software with GPS, so patrol cars can be tracked in real time. They carry medical packs and fire extinguishers.  They will provide a 24/7 response to our homeowners, and they have offered to attend and report at our monthly meetings. 

The Board is currently working on a contract that will see Post Security beginning service to the KPOA on August 15 at midnight.

We look forward to welcoming Post Security to the community. The Board welcomes feedback from homeowners. Please attend our monthly meeting on August 25, 2021 for a chance to meet them.

KPOA GENERAL SESSION ONLINE MEETINGS 
 
Due to the COVID-19 crisis the Board of Directors has been meeting via Zoom teleconferencing. This has allowed the Board of Directors to continue addressing issues in our community. It also provides a way for homeowners to participate in monthly community discussions from the comfort and safety of their home. However, the technology is not without risks and the Board of Directors had tried to balance homeowner accessibility and security. During the first Zoom meeting in April multiple users entered the meeting and started Zoom Bombing.  
 
KPOA MEMBERS REGISTERING FOR ONLINE MEETINGS 
 
The Association has dealt with disruptive people joining the meetings, causing disturbances and misrepresenting themselves as KPOA members. All security protocols at our disposal have been employed with the most important verifying homeowners prior to distributing the meeting link. All KPOA members wanting to join the meeting must register at least 2 days prior to the meeting:
 
1. Request the registration link from our property manager Mike Marsh
    mike@goldcoastmgt.com       
2. KPOA member registers for the meeting 
3. After verifying the participant, the meeting link will be sent to the authenticated email
    address
4. All members need to register at least 2 days prior to the meeting date to allow time for verification
